Ms.
Emanuel, lead math teacher, feels these math manipulatives are essential in
improving math instruction. She will provide professional development in the use
of the Cuisenaire Rods for teachers in all grade levels at

. These Rods are used to help students learn to reason and justify their
mathematical ideas, as they model such concepts as operations (addition,
subtraction, etc.) of whole numbers, fractions and measurements.
