Thaxton Elementary School

11/09 – History Outreach Program - $300.00

The History Museum of Central Virginia will visit Thaxton Elementary twice to present exciting lessons that coincide with the curriculum being taught in their kindergarten history class. These presentations include accounts of Pocahontas, George Washington, Betsy Ross and Abraham Lincoln. Another presentation focuses on the American flag, Pledge of Allegiance and the President along with teaching a variety of other skills such as the use of maps and globes.
